ABOUT ME
My name, Photini, is one that I prayed for before I was baptized. I asked the Lord to give me a name that would...fit.
' Photini' (Greek for 'Enlightened One') was the name given to the Samaritan Woman (John 4) when she was baptized on the day of Pentecost. Before that, when she was simply known as 'The Samaritan Woman', she had a conversation with the Messiah Himself that changed her life. My story is not that different. I was baptized under this name a few years after I met Jesus in Paris, France on my 30th birthday. Just like Saint Photini, I spent my life looking for something in all the wrong places until I finally found Him. Since then, I have been on a journey of being transformed by God. My favorite moments are when I'm in my room, door shut, media off, in the silence where I can hear my beloved Jesus speak and overwhelm me with His love. |
